Fins for diverse conditions and boards

This category of fin designs contains all of our elliptical templates, which are versatile for a diverse range of conditions and boards.

All the templates in this category are CNC-machined from solid fiberglass and only come in a RED tint, except for the BLACK center fins.

The supported fin bases are GEARBOX, DUAL TAB (available on request), and FUTURES.

Q5 Series

The Q5 series is the most extensive range of fins in the HANALEI FINS catalog.

We have been working on this design for over a year and will complete the final testing this winter. These fins represent the next advancement in the Q series, with functional and versatile designs.

The Q5 still carries forward the elliptical outline of previous series versions but features a more upright stance and refined blade tip. In addition, the shape of the cutaway has been refined to be more effective and to enhance its functionality on FUTURES bases. The cutaway keeps the base narrow for tight turns and maneuverability.

The other significant advancement with the larger versions of this template is the addition of the FLIPTWO flipped tips. This brings another level of performance to an already excellent fin. In addition, it enhances turns and adds a little extra feel late in the turn.

As with previous versions, it still carries a HOLOFOIL on the inside face, but it is a little more extreme in this design, improving speed and overall performance. The addition of the FLIPTWO tips has allowed these foils to be further enhanced for more speed.

This series is all about smooth power and versatility!

While these fins have been around for a long time, they are still very popular because they work!

Smooth, powerful, high-performance fins.

These fins are by far the best-selling in our range! They offer smooth power with lots of drive and holding power. The harder they are pushed, the better they work. You must try them to feel how good they are in the water.

Due to the rake of the larger fin, they tend to have excellent projection out of turns, making them suitable in larger surf!

This series uses the center fins from the Q5 series: Q5-375C, Q5-463CK and Q5-500CK.

QFT Series

The new QFT versions join them with our FLIPTWO flipped tips.

Due to the rake of the larger fin, they tend to have excellent projection out of turns, making them suitable in larger surf!

These QFT versions raise the performance bar by adding our next-generation FLIPTWO flipped tips to the already-proven shape of the Q2 fins. The outline has a minor tweak at the bottom of the trailing edge to facilitate machining FUTURES bases.

This series uses center fins from the Q5 series: Q5-375C, Q5-463CK and Q5-500CK.
